Interested in learning whether great-grandma's favorite broach or that old silver flower pot may in fact be a valuable antique? Then bring them to a free
appraisal Wednesday at Duluth's Great Hall.
The event is being sponsored by the St. Louis County Historical Society. The public is invited to bring antique and collectible items for inspection by Dan
Sershon of Northland Estate Services and Denny Mager of Northern Specialty, both experts in antique appraisal, from noon until 3 p.m.
Organizers ask that people please arrive no later than 2:30 p.m. to register in person, with up to two items per person for an informal oral identification and evaluation of each antique. If the piece is too large or fragile to be
hand-carried, clear photographs with a description of any marks and labels will be suficient.
The session is part of an ongoing public education program offered by the Historical Society.
