Collectible Show on from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Sunday at the Lake County Fairgrounds, 889 S. Court St., Crown Point.
Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase items from more than 45
vendors, with delicious food available from Bubba Q Bar-B-Que and oldies music
spun by Five Star DJ and Karaoke Entertainment.

Veterans Day ceremony
Crown Point American Legion Post 20 and the city are hosting a Veterans Day
Ceremony on the East Side steps of the Old Lake Courthouse at 10:30 a.m. Monday.
Please join us as we pay tribute to all who dedicated their lives to our

Networking Night
Members of the community are invited to a Networking Night and ribbon cutting
ceremony from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Massage Envy, 10343 Indianapolis Blvd.,
Highland. The ribbon cutting will take place at 5:30.
Guests will enjoy complimentary chair massages and skin analysis. This
promises to be a relaxing evening of networking. Refreshments will be provided.

Chicago bus trips
This year, the Friends of the Crown Point Community Library have scheduled
two Holiday Shopping Bus Trips. Passengers will be dropped off near Water Tower
Place on Tuesday, Dec. 3, and at State Street/Macy’s on Thursday, Dec. 5.
Tickets are $20 and can be purchased at the circulation desk. Payment must be
received to reserve a seat.
The bus will depart (and return) from the Crown Point Sportsplex, 1313 E.
North Street. Boarding will begin at 8:45 a.m. and the bus departs promptly at

Feed the hungry
Now through Nov. 22, new patients to Kauffman Chiropractic, 100 W. 84th
Drive, Merrillville, who bring a minimum of five canned goods or other
nonperishable food items will be given exams and case histories free of
charge.
All donations will go to a local food pantry. For more information, call

Library collecting toys
Crown Point Community Library is a host site for the Marine Corps Toys For
Tots program. New, unwrapped toys will be collected beginning mid-November until
Dec. 11, and will be distributed to children in our community. A collection box
will be located near the elevator in the the library foyer.
In early December, Friends of St. Anthony Hospice will display a mitten tree
at the library, 122 N. Main St. Please donate new hats, mittens and scarfs to be
distributed throughout the community. Items will be collected until Dec, 16.
