Linda Wasko, who rents space in antique malls in Rochester and Stewartville, has reopened Antiques and More at 24 S. Oak St. in her hometown of La Crescent, according to the La Crosse Tribune.It's in part of the La Crescent Wellness Center.
Wasko, who has lived in La Crescent since 1978, operated the store in downtown West Salem, Wis., from 2001 to 2005, until closing it because of the downturn, she said.
"I just stored everything and went to some flea markets," said Wasko, in addition to renting space in flea markets.
"I have so much stuff, and I love the business," Wasko said.
Wasko has a large selection of Fenton Art Glass items, along with collectibles, furniture, books, framed photos, old saws, barrels, Christmas ornaments, vinyl records and more, according to the La Crosse Tribune story.
Hours are noon to 4 p.m. Sunday; 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday, Thursday and Friday; and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. Its phone number is 507-259-5283, and the business soon will be on Facebook. -- Mike Klein
