The Chicago Suburban Antique Dealers Association (CSADA) presents the 39th Annual Fall Fox Valley Antiques Show: “Folk Art: Simple Pleasures.” The antique
show takes place on Saturday, October 19th from 10am-5pm and Sunday, October 20st from 10am-4pm at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road, in St.
Charles.
In addition to the antiques that will be for sale, Tina Woltman, author of An Early Christmas, will be present for a book signing. Released in 2011, An Early
Christmas instantly appealed to both antique and holiday collectors, selling out almost immediately. Her new book, Christmas of Olde, will be released this fall and be available for purchase at the show.
The DuPage County Historical Museum is proud to partner with CSADA on this event. Sara Buttita, museum educator, says, “This is the second year that
we are fortunate enough to partner with CSADA. They are a wonderful organization dedicated to education and preservation. This year’s show theme complements the current exhibit we have at the Museum, Early Illinois Folk
Art,1825-1925. We’re encouraging visitors to visit the show and our exhibit to see these wonderfully crafted and fascinating examples of folk art.”
As in years past, this quality show offers genuine antiques beautifully displayed in room settings. 55 dealers from 14 states will be in attendance. An array of Americana, 18th, 19th, and early 20th century furniture, textiles, jewelry, stoneware, and other folk art will be on view and offered for sale. Previews can be found at www.csada.com.
Admission is $8.00. Tickets may be purchased online at
wheatonparkdistrict.com/tickets. A coupon for reduced admission can be downloaded at www.csada.com. A portion of the ticket sales will support the DuPage County Historical Museum. The DuPage County
Historical Museum is located at 102 E. Wesley Street, Wheaton. For more information about the museum, visit www.dupagemuseum.org. Phone 630.510.4941.
