The Keeler Tavern Museum’s 18th annual Antiques and Treasures Sale will be held in Garden House, barn and under tents on the museum property from 9 to 5
p.m. on Friday and Saturday, Aug. 9 and 10; and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 11.
Early buying is available on Friday, Aug. 9 from 8 to 9 a.m., for a fee of $10 per person. Entry is free at all other times. Parking is available on the premises at no charge.
This event will feature period furnishings, and objets d’art from the 18th to 20th centuries. The furniture will be displayed with accessories for sale including linens, silver, porcelains, china, glass, art work, oriental carpets, mirrors, clocks, lamps, fireplace sets, and other decorative items. Also available will be estate jewelry, vintage clothing and fashion accessories, Civil War artifacts, antique children’s books, metal soldiers, and other memorabilia, and a private collection of antique dolls by Effanbee, Horsman, Kestner, Knickerbocker, Mattel, Schoenhut, Vogue, and Walt Disney.
A large tent and barn will have reasonably priced furniture suitable for apartments, and/or students furnishing college dorms. On the front lawn,
visitors may enjoy the donation tent featuring hundreds of small bargain treasures for sale.
Money raised from the sale helps the museum maintain the property and sponsor its varied programs. The museum will be open for guided tours 1 to 4 p.m. on
Saturday and Sunday.
