ROCK FALLS – Police are looking for help solving a residential burglary in which $5,000 to $10,000 worth of jewelry and collectibles were taken.
Police received a report of a break-in in the 1400 block of 14th Avenue about 11 a.m. Monday. The burglar or burglars kicked in a door and stole a gun, coin and baseball card collections and a lot of jewelry, all worth $5,000 to $10,000, Cmdr. Tammy Nelson said.
The break-in was discovered by relatives of the homeowners, who were out of town, and seems to have happened in the past day or two, Nelson said.
Anyone with information is asked to call police at 815-622-1140 or Crime Stoppers at 815-625-7867. Callers remain anonymous and are eligible for a reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest and conviction.
