The new owner of a "piggy bank" saved himself some coins to put inside recently by simply walking away with it from an Upper Milford Township antiques co-operative, police said.
According to state police at Fogelsville, the cast iron piggy bank in the shape of a kitten was stolen from a booth between 3:07 and 3:29 p.m. Jan. 29 in the Zionsville Antique Mall at 7567 Chestnut St. The vendor was Nancy Pinto of Douglassville, Berks County.
Police said the thief took the bank from a shelf and walked out of the building without paying.
