Planning a wedding is stressful - it's a task full of decisions that range from the flavor of the cake (vanilla? chocolate? carrot?) to the color of the dress (ivory? cream? white?).
The fourth annual Wedding Show on Feb. 24 aims to make the whole process a little easier.
"This is a tradition that brides will go through with their friends and family and I want the journey of planning their wedding to be fun and exciting, not a chore," said Nuria Guarneschelli, the event coordinator, in a press
release.
Held at the Antique Automobile Club of America Museum in Hershey, the 2013 Wedding Show will fill all three of the museum's floors with vendors and entertainment.
There will be a fashion show by Taylored for You Bridal Boutique in Mechanicsburg as well as a Cake Dive. In the Cake Dive, ten brides picked at the show will be tasked with hunting through a cake to find a ring hidden inside.
The winner will receive a prize package valued at $10,000 which includes a honeymoon to Dominican Republic, free tuxes for groom and his wedding party and
wedding invitations.
The Cake Dive is not the only contest at the show. There will also be several drawings, one for a Louis Vuitton handbag, another for a custom designed dress. Brides who attend the show will receive one golden ticket for the drawings, additional golden tickets can be gained by bringing non-perishable food items to the show to be donated to the Central PA Food Bank and by participating in the show's Facebook contests.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle.
Tickets are $8 online and $10 at the door. There is also a VIP ticket option on sale for $40 which includes early entry to the show, gourmet food samples by C&J catering and wedding planning tips.
